The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) was originally established as the Oregon State Fish Commission in 1878. Alumnus and Extension Service faculty member, John Faudskar earned his BS (1968) and MS (1980) degrees in Fisheries and Wildlife from Oregon State University. He was appointed as the Marine Extension Agent in Tillamook County in 1972 and served as Marine Extension Agent, Extension Sea Grant Agent, and Tillamook County Chair until his retirement in 2003.
